Rev. Nakano on Diamond Head

Posted on Wednesday, October 21st 2009 by Machiko in General

As you may know, Rev. Nakano likes to be very healthy. He loves jogging and walking. And one day, Rev. Nakano took a few friends hiking up Diamond Head Crater.

Diamond Head is the famous volcanic crater you see in the background of many postcards of Waikiki Beach. It is a short hike up the inside of the crater, up a giant flight of stairs, through an old military tunnel and bunker, to the spectacular view of Honolulu and the ocean. You can see all the way from passed the airport on the west to where Haleola House is on the east side of Oahu.

The Bible says in Colossians 4:5, "Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity."

So, Rev. Nakano never misses an opportunity and from atop of the mountain, he prayed for the island, the people and for God's blessing. What a wonderful way to spend the morning! Praise the Lord!
